My wife and I have lived most of our lives in small towns in Northern Michigan, and we really love that "small town feel". In particular, we love Roscommon and Higgins Lake, and have really enjoyed everything the area has to offer.

- Higgins Lake Landscaping - A family-owned landscaping business providing landscape development and maintenance, lawn care, and a host of other services for the Roscommon/Higgins Lake area.
- Higgins Lake/Roscommon Area Chamber of Commerce - the Chamber has been a great connection for me (and, particularly, for BTS). I've made (and strengthened) a number of connections just by being a member.
- HigginsLake.info - a free forum and informational site, focusing on the Higgins Lake area
- Higgins Lake Yahoo Group - sister site to the HigginsLake.info site; you have to be a member, but membership is pretty much guaranteed for anyone who asks (from what I've seen). This is basically a mailing list; people ask questions about the area, and other people offer answers.
- Higgins North Vacation Rentals - cabin and cottage rentals on and near Higgins Lake
- Scott McNamara Ford/Lincoln/Mercury - this is a bit of a plug, because Scott and his family are friends of ours, but they consistently receive awards from Ford for providing top-quality service, so I know I'm not the only one who thinks highly of them.
